Marie Matusz / Matthias Schaufler – Punk Delikatessen

Marie Matusz (b. 1994 in Toulouse FR) lives and works in Basel. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts HEAD Genève and a Master of Fine Arts Institut Kunst FHNW HGK Basel. Her practice questions theories of power, desire, time and space. Recent exhibitions include Barely Furtive Pleasures (group show), Nir Altman, Munich, 2020; Golden Hour (solo), Atelier-Amden, Amden, 2019; Discoteca Analytica (group show), Kunsthalle Fri Art, Fribourg, 2019; and Stages of Recovery (solo), Jan Kaps, Cologne 2017.

Matthias Schaufler (b. 1964 Laichingen DE) lives in Berlin and Donegal (Ireland). He has studied with Franz Erhard Walther and Mike Hentz at HFBK Hamburg, and Martin Kippenberger at Städelschule Frankfurt. Schaufler was involved in Colognes concept/context art scene in the nineties around Galerie Christian Nagel and Texte zur Kunst, developing his practice in various forms of painting. Recent exhibitions were held at Kunstverein Leverkusen; Galerie Hammelehle und Ahrens, Cologne; and Galerie Robert Grunenberg, Berlin.
