Exhibition May 5 - June 4, 2022
Our perception of space depends as much on what we hear as on what we see. MN
suns.works is pleased to announce Sound Drawings, an exhibition of works on paper curated in collaboration with the Max Neuhaus estate. Max Neuhaus started his career as a percussionist, playing with such notable composers as John Cage and Stockhausen and is considered to be the first artist to extend sound as a primary medium into the domain of contemporary art. Often producing work for specific sites, Neuhaus used drawing and graphical representation as essential tools for developing and communicating his ideas and works. Sound Drawings looks at a selection of works from 1968 - 1999, highlighting Neuhaus’s elegant yet pragmatic approach to drawing and its relationship to sound.
